Company Overview

Choga Co., Ltd. was established in 2005 with the aim of exporting makgeolli to Japan and other global markets. Meanwhile, we have been studying the development of refined rice wines that go well with Korean food since 2013, paying attention to the rapid increase in Japanese sake consumption in Korea. As a result, in September 2019, the company released a rice wine suitable for Korean food and named it "Hancheong," meaning Korean rice wine.
Japanese rice wine is most suitable for Japanese food. It goes well with things like fish cakes or dakgwang (sweet radish). We don't think it's suitable for hot and spicy Korean food. Therefore, Choga developed a rice wine that goes well with Korean foods, such as kimchi, red pepper paste with vinegar, and pork belly
