Company Overview

In November 1976, the company started cultivating 7 native species. We did not have any literature or research institutes on breeding technology, so we made progress by trial and error. In June 1985, it was possible to succeed in increasing breeding more than 80%. Then, in 1992, the Samcheok Gasiogapi Farm was established by focusing on the growth of seedlings and the establishment of a farm base. In 1993, we were first to launch a highly concentrated pill made of glutinous rice as a domestic industry. In 1995, we made an extract with one heavy water heater and sold it informally (with no issues). In 1996, as we appeared in national broadcasts and were able to mutually exchange information with Konkuk University, Korea Forest Service, Kangwon National University, Provincial Forest Management Office, and the Breeding Research Institute.

1998 Established Samcheok Siberian Ginseng Farming Association
2001 Changed company name to Oga Myeongga
In 2002, we opened the Oga Myeongga Natural Products Extraction Technology Research Center in Dunnae, Hoengseong-gun. This research center has conducted various studies, and made the discovery of new substances from native plants in Korea, such as native Siberian ginseng and other medicinal plants.
After closing the Dunnae Research Center in 2009, it merged with Samcheok and continues to operate as a research center. We have over 50 kinds of special extracted natural products, and constantly strive for human health in developing new materials.
